Paul Chikamasa Horiuchi (1906-1999) artist. Horiuchi was born in Japan in 1906 and learned calligraphy and sumi techniques as a child. In late 1920, he departed for America and found work with the Union Pacific Railroad in Wyoming, using his mother's maiden name of Kamakura, where his father was already an employee.
